Grief is a particular type of anguish. When we suffer losses, we have a conglomeration of emotional and behavioral reactions. Sometimes we are confused by our experience. Often we feel pressured to hurry up and get over our grief. There are other times we don’t even know what our feelings are related to loss. What a complex process. Therapy can help grievers discover permission to grieve, take one’s time, and fully process through all the stages involved in accepting losses.
